Blain earns 5th Team of the Week Honour

SAN student-athlete Ronald Blain has earned himself a place on the NBL England Team of the Week for a 5th time this season.

Blain led Newcastle with 26 points to help them advance to the second round of the NBL Division 1 Playoffs with an 87-77 victory over Leicester Warriors.

The former Hawaii Pacific star was dominant in Newcastle, showing his full repertoire and scoring at all three levels. He added 11 rebounds and 5 assists, for an efficiency rating of 37, the highest efficiency of any player in the first round of the playoffs.

Blain is currently earning his Master’s Degree in Cross Cultural Communication for Newcastle University. For the season, he is averaging 22.4 ppg (4th), 8.5 rpg and 3.4 apg for an overall efficient rating of 479, good for 3rd in the league.
